We are sitting in the Minneapolis airport, waiting for our flight to Vegas, which will be the beginning of our 12 day adventure Southwest. We will travel through five states; Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado bringing us to a total of 33 states visited. We will soak up the sites in Vegas, visit the Hoover Dam and Zion National Park. We plan to hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, stop at Four Corners, as well as the Aztec Ruins and Meza Verde. We will sand-board down the Sand Dunes of Colorado, drive up Pikes Peak, watch coins being made at the Denver Mint, and snowshoe in the Rocky Mountains. It will be an adventure-packed 12 days.
We have packed SIX suitcases, along with our carry-on bags, which is
twice as much as we usually take. But our hike down the Grand Canyon is requiring some items we usually don't pack.
Huge thanks to Lesley for driving us this morning. The girls are beyond excited for Vegas. This morning we woke up to a thermometer that read 4 degrees. Vegas shows a high of 78.
